Re: anyone attending Ashmead College or Evergreen Healing Arts ??
Fri, August 15, 2008 - 7:15 AMAshmead college was great, but now that its everest, I heard that they changed curriculum around and its not as good. Length of their program is about a year or 970 Hours if u take the spa program with it which is what I would recommend. they do prepare you for the National exam, which passing, you can get your washington state LMP(Licensed Massage Practitioner)License. Oregon is a whole other ballgame...they have their own practical test, which is just another way for Oregon to take peoples money. Anyways, yes it is well worth it. We need more Males in the field, and there are good opportunities. It takes about an average of 3 years to build up a successful business, in any industry, but this(massage) to me, is the best. It is personally rewarding in many ways. Good luck to you and in your decisions.
Sincerely,
Daniel Price/LMP/
