The Vancouver Food Cooperative has begun selling shares!
As most folks who have been around for a while know, most natural food cooperatives were started thirty years ago, but with growing concerns about regional food security, there is a third wave of co-ops emerging around the nation, including one right here in Vancouver, USA!
Please visit the web site, consider joining their announcement list or subscribing to weblog.VancouverFood.org and help bring a community-owned, natural foods grocery to Vancouver. We can own it!

Re: VFC Newsletter for August 2007 is available
Sun, August 19, 2007 - 8:37 AMHey Mac;
Is there a tribe for this yet? I'm on the mailing list, but it keeps getting caught in my spam filter. -

Re: VFC Newsletter for August 2007 is available
Sun, August 19, 2007 - 4:54 PMThere is not? Do you think there should be? Perhaps a general tribe for food cooperatives, but a Tribe for just VFC seems a bit narrow. My understanding is that VFC-ANNOUNCE (and all other Google groups) send out from the email address noreply@googlegroups.com, so if you add this to your "whitelist" or address book, most spam filters will let it through.
There was some discussion of starting a MySpace page and there is vancouverfood.livejournal.com, but a simpler solution may be to use RSS to subscribe to weblog.vancouverfood.org
PM me if there are other questions about the details of this.
