There are a few cool things going on in downtown Vancouver this Saturday, December 1, 2007.
10am-4pm admission to the Clark County Historical Museum is free, As part of their annual open house. The museum is in the old Carnegie Library at 1511 Main St and the current exhibit (Vancouver Uncovered) closes at the end of the month. As part of the open house there are usually craft activities for kid and artsy things to buy if you are so inclined. More info at www.cchmuseum.org/
4-8pm is the downtown "Sip 'N Stroll" event, with musicians in some of the downtown businesses. Anyone is free to wander around and listen to the music, but to help raise money for the downtown holiday lights and Habitat for Humanity they also have armbands available for $5 and $25 which entitle one to store discounts and wine of some sort. Details on this are at UptownVillage.com with tickets at www.brownpapertickets.com/produ.../23791
6pm at Hudson's Bay High School is the Police Activity League's annual boxing fundraiser, "Battle at the Bay." I'm not sure of the ticket cost, but it is usually less than $10 (maybe less than $6) with the proceeds going to help fund athletic activities for kids under the volunteer supervision of the Vancouver Police Department.
I'm going to try to catch all three, but I'm funny that way.
