Food Art in Vancouver This Month
There are a few events in Vancouver this month which address issues related to food and art, including some information on the upcoming Vancouver Food Cooperative.
Sixth Street Gallery at 105 West Sixth Street features a group show called "Eat This! Local Foods and Farms." Come enjoy local art about food and learn about community supported agriculture farms (CSAs) and other small farms. www.sixthstreetgallery.com/Sixt...e.htm
Clark County Historical Museum (1511 Main Street) also features a food-related show, with opening reception this coming Thursday, January 17, from 5-8pm. Called "Sustaining Change on the American Farm," this show is currently on loan from Maryhill Museum of Art. Info at www.cchmuseum.org/
Vancouver Food Cooperative's monthly potluck will take place at the Clark County Geneaological Society (715 Grand Boulevard), beginning at 5:30 pm with a screening of the Brave New Film "Garbage!" as detailed at garbage.bravenewtheaters.com/scr...uver
Lastly, Vancouver Food Cooperative is hosting its second annual "Meet the Farmers" night at the Barberton Grange, 9400 N.E. 72nd Avenue. This event will also feature local Community Supported Agriculture farmers and takes place on Friday, January 31, 6:30-9:00 pm. More info at VancouverFood.coop
